Picked up a 4" hole saw and some saw blades for my jig saw, that cut metal today. Trying to have everything I need to do this on the weekend. Seems straight forward enough. I'm just not sure how I will have to end up modding the airbox to accecpt the snorkel tube from within the fender.

Paging Grasscat to white courtesy telephone....

I got it off fleabay. It is for a gen3. I can pm you the link if you want. After I searched and searched for a 2.5 snork and could not find one, I saw grasscat do it. Pssshhh, if Jesse James can make a limo into a garbage truck, how hard could this be?

Snork was @ $180 shipped from malasya. Looks like a arb/ safari, but says "PAJERO" on it. Pretty good mould tho. Looks to be good enough quality.
Shipping was way fast too. Paid for it on a thursday, got it on the following tuesday I'll deffinatly have pics by sunday eve
Worst part is walking past it every day so far. I have had to work 9 out of the last 10 days. wont even be able to start untill sat eve.

He may be busy with a 1950's trailer he's been restoring (from the frame up ). Try getting a hold of him via 4x4wire.

Soooo..... As for the snokle install, it went ok so far. I got it on the truck, inner connecting pipe connected to snorkle and sealed with silicone. However I am having a difficult time getting the mid pipe to interface with the airbox. So right now it is just an orniment

    Couple of notes so far.

    1) You CAN keep the power antennae in place and functioning.

    2) unless you use an alernate container, you loose the headlight washer fluid res.

I'll post pics and a install wright up soon.

That's correct about the headlight washer container.

Did you check with Grasscat on how he connected his to the airbox?

On mine we used a plastic rain gutter piece we modified so you could go from a round hole to an oval one. We used lots of sticky putty stuff and "flashing" tape (tin/aluminum on one side, sticky gummy stuff on the other) to seal it all off properly. Can pretty much everything at your local Home Depot/Lowes/OSH.
