    Default 2013 Commando ??

Sorry if this is old new but I just stumbled upon it.

    -----

Based on the Iveco Massif, with a modified version of the old Jeep Commando grille, comes a limited edition truck engineered as Jeeps used to be engineered, for serious off-road tasks. The Commando sells for more than the Grand Cherokee, but has much less in the way of interior amenities; VM diesel-powered, it's designed more for the international market than for American buyers, but fills in a gap left by the Hummer H1.

[edited -- The rendering of a possible Massif with Jeep grille is halfway down this page.]

I think people in the know are now saying the Iveco Massif is dead, and the Jeep Grand Wagoner will be like a luxury Durango

Massif is right. Not very much like the Commando, to my eye. Ugh.

The Jeepster Commando (biscuit fenders and 7-slat grille, '67-71) and Commando (bullnose, '72-75) had the same track width and wheelbase as the CJ-6 ... they were a much smaller vehicle than the Massif appears to be, to me.
