Ladies and Gentlemen,

This is it. Overland Expo 2011 is here!

There are multiple threads going on right now so let's try to gather all updates, pictures, trip reports, etc on this thread. I have made it "sticky" for the duration of the events.

Things in Prescott are going well - we are in full preparation mode.
I arrived at the "headquarter" a couple days ago and the parking lot of Overland Journal/Expedition Portal is already starting to look like a mini-Expo.

We will be heading over there around Wednesday to get the site ready.

Also please feel free to post images from the road!

This year looks like it will be the best yet!

Thanks Christian, we look forward to seeing the Expedition Portal and Overland Journal team as you arrive to set up your booth.

The ConserVentures and Overland Expo staff and training team are already on site setting up our Overland Expo event site, building the driving courses, and putting up our tents.

Thanks to sponsors like Overland Journal, Equipt, ARB, Sportsmobile, and Four Wheel Campers for making this happen and Expedition Portal for helping to get the word out about this event, which is the big event of the year for ConserVentures as an organization. [For those who don't know, Overland Expo is independent of Expedition Portal and Overland Journal ~ different folks, same great community though!]

We look forward to seeing the 400 Overland Experience participants, over 120 exhibitors and authors and filmmakers (representing 300 more people). And we expect to see another 3000 or more coming through Day Passes.

People can get discount tickets online at http://www.overlandexpo.com/register

Lots of dirt being moved around in Amado. No one was around, but I stopped by last night (on my way home from a 200 mile ride around the back country on the BMW) to see what the Land Rover guys were up to. They have a pretty serious 'play ground' under construction. :Wow1:

I'd post a pic or two, but I can't find the card reader for the camera. Seriously, what the heck happened to it!!!!

Expedition Portal will have it's own little "Cafe" in the Overland Journal tent - please stop by and say hi! We will have a couple computers available for those who needs their forum "fix".

Persephone and I will be around at least half the time, so hopefully we'll get to meet many members!

Hey guys, the ExPo bags are here!

They will be at the ExPo Cafe inside the Overland Journal tent at the show.

Come and check them out, they look really cool.

I can't find driving directions to the Expo.

I know what city it is in,and while that is a small city, is that realy good enough?

SO excited, I leave tomorrow!

The town of Amado has a population of 300 people. So if you can find the town the show should be pretty easy to find.

I haven't been there before myself but from what I understand you can't miss it.

Cheers

Ray
