It's last year of the solid front axle! Mine was a shortbed x-tra cab. Uber reliable, and made many trips to Mexico and all over CA.

I'm thinking the long bed part is going to be tough.

An 85 truck with the EFI... rather rare since most came with a carb, did they not?

Best of luck with the search. Didn't you have a truck like that "back in the day"?

My 85 was a SR5 that had EFI. I think they are actually pretty common. It's the 22RE engine model.

Better trying to find an 1985 longbed with EFI.
SR5 models included bucket seats, tach, upgraded interior (almost all of which you can swap out of a parts truck). The tach clusters are plug n play.
I have a 1985 SR5 longbed base model all stock (not for sale), but you can practically make an SR5 out of a deluxe model longbed with minimal efforts. My 1985 SR5 extra cab (project vehicle) is a base SR5 with the only option added being a sunroof which I hate.

Good luck. I will see what I can find.
