You know what would be really awesome?

If you actually made an effort and gave us some info...you know, like, what the vehicle is. That could be a good start.

Sounds like you need a swamp buggy. They are popular in Florida. Check out sites like http://www.swampbuggiesfl.com/

I routinely crossed a creek that was 4+ feet deep when I was out wheeling in my junker '73 Chevy 4x4 back when I was young and stupid....

I did a few things that made it possible...

*Electric fan with master switch
*watertight distributor
*go HEAVY on the dielectric grease in the spark plug boots. Both ends.
*relocated the ignition coil as high as I could on the firewall
*doubled up aircleaner to carb gasket.
*factory air-cleaner, with re-routed snout to breath from the highest part of the firewall
*extended diff breathers with filters

Oh, and.....

*New door seals :snorkel:

Welcome to the Portal.

Tell us about yourself and what type of vehicle you want to modify. Tell us what kind of trip you're planning to need to ford that deep. Sounds interesting.

Hmm, I was just at Pismo beach this past weekend. The river that hasn't flowed in years was at 5 feet high tide. Doesn't matter how well you fit or modify your truck. If the water is flowing it will take you with it. Better off to avoid it to be honest.
