No actual work to Jeep one or new jeep two. The XJ will get an examination tomorrow to try and foresee any needed parts to order other than seals ans such. I did pick up two 6"x2"x4" 3/16th wall pcs of tubing. Guess those rusty rocker are doomed after all! Mooooooooahahahahaha!
well i started a month or so ago with this jeep
90' XJ 4x4 that barely ran and had no reverse
started parting it out and chopping it up for parts.
then with some extra cash and earning off the parts jeep, i bought this.
another 90' XJ 2wd was wrecked pretty bad on the passenger side.
i just kind of rigged it to work till i get ready to weld the new inner fender in, and go 4x4
and now this is where it sits, it runs and drives. still needs some minor things to be on the street.
summed up thats what i've done to the jeep in the past month or so.

Replaced my blow rear ProComp shock with Old Man Emu shocks. Changed the oil, transmission, and transfer case fluids. I also beat the engine skid off the stock belly skid (so bent I had to actually use a pry bar) so I could repaint it while painting my new belly up skid and getting ready to do the MML.
How does it work as just a normal rear view mirror?
Finally got around to installing my ARB awning on the WJ!

2000 WJ Grand Cherokee - Get me outta this concrete jungle!!!!

Not all today but in the past few days I've replaced the 30 year old steering box in my Cherokee chief, fixed a hole in the gas tank, and managed to get it to pass CA. Smog. Pretty productive week if I do say so myself.
After a lifetime spent searching for the perfect rack ;-) I decided to build my own. I used 3/4" ID schedule 40 aluminum pipe and "Speed rail" fittings from Hollaender. If your parents never bought you tinker toys, you'll love this stuff!!! A little Red Oxide primer and some satin black, both from rattle cans, and I was ready to roll in about 4 hours. Total cost $200, and you can build it any H"xW"xL" you want.

Then I went down to Harbor Freight and picked up this "hitch mount" rear rack for $50.

I modified my Kargo Master Bushman rack, eliminating the top bar in front, added limb riser hooks, and made limb riser cables.

We went for a drive on Saturday and made good use of the limb risers.
