Terry I gotta say I really admire your willingness to try different rigs and fit what fits your needs & family vs what is cool.
What are your thoughts on the interior? Will you try for a sleep inside setup?

Cool van and we really need to get out on the dirt and play now that you are back on the left coast.

I'd like to make a suggestion on the kit, aside from including instructions with the torque specs with the kit, also include a spacer tube for the top of the bumper bracket so it doesnt collapse when tightening it - otherwise great kit, much better than the hollow blocks with the standard kits. Thanks again.

A spacer tube for the top bolt did cross my mind...and I'll probably include in the future...but it doesn't need to be too tight. It's really just resisiting sheer.

    Thx

So if anyone is contemplating installing a single DIN head unit I will strongly recommend the Clarion CZ500. Bang for the buck I dont think this thing can be beat. I am gearing stations at my house from LA that I havent been able to get with any other stereo, including a high dollar Pioneer unit. AM/FM/CD/USB/iPod & iPhone control/Aux Input AND bluetooth both for your phone and stereo streaming from your smart phone, and includes a wireless remote. Yes its awesome to have Pandora wireless through my stereo! Its also HD & Satellite radio upgradable as well. On sale for $146 to my door with all the install goodies, Crutchfield came through again.

Terry, that looks like a good car stereo. Been trying to find an equivalent to my JVC KD-BT100 that I LOVE (have two if them in two cars), but is now impossible to find.

Never understood why a basic music player w/ BT is so hard to come by for a decent price, but that looks like it fits the bill.

Have you used the Bluetooth part of it? With what phone? If that's at all serviceable, then I'll probably pick that unit up. The JVC BT worked fantastically well with my Blackberry, and works "pretty well" with my Android, so I was looking to stick with that, but they don't have an equivalent model anymore...

    Thanks!

Yes, works flawlessly with both my Verizon Thunderbolt and the wifes Samsung Fascinate on both phone and streaming stereo stored music or Pandora/equivilent. The same unit is selling on Amazon for $120 but Crutchfield throws in the mounting kit, vehicle harness adapter and excellent tailored instructions and live phone support thats worth the few extra bucks, plus free shipping.

And although the Pro Comp 9000 shocks showed up I'm still debating using Bilstein's instead - I have a few days to decide, but the Pro Comps are a fraction of the Bilstein's so its a tough call. The tires are so junky on te van I cant wait till everything shows so I can get it safe. Did a transmission service today and everything was good, now just good-er.

    Changing the topic:
Is anyone good at photoshop? We have a color in mind that never came on the Astro, not all that different but enough I think I'd like it. I want to get a photoshop done to picture it lifted and in the desired color. PM me if you can help!
