Default Traveling Overland With Disabled Child

We met this great family in Guatemala Vincent, Julia, Margaret, Lena and Naomi. Lena is in a wheelchair specially modified for travel as is their RV.

We have so much admiration for them and the kids were a joy to watch. Very inspiring.

Thats awesome... for my younger brother, my older brother and I just used our strong backs. Still do to a point, but we don't travel as much.

while there are physical & emotional issues....I have found that the most severe are in a persons mind.
It is great to see a family get out and travel, that is the most life enriching thing possible.
And PolarXJ, cool to hear about the brother boosting
cigar smoking, wilderness first responding, ham talking night nurse who is overland certified and a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.....
now everyone say "so what where have you been lately?"

Very cool, just took my 16 month old on his first hike today. He has CP and many other neurological issues and I plan to get him outdoors and travel as much as time/money allow.

That is great, all kids should be so lucky to be taken hiking at 16 months. The Riss family are now in Panama staying at Panama Passage
