Hey, What is your floor going to be? I was looking at pink insulation in between the runners like the walls then some 1/4 ply with vynil.

The floor will be 3/4" pink insulation with 7mm cheap laminate wood flooring on top. The aluminum cross supports in my floor will be exposed once completed.

Build your own, but don't let that project slow you down. A 2' ladder will work fine for awhile.
Where is that picture of the steps from? I'd like to see the rest of that rig. I like the bumper.
What is OX12?
Enjoying the updates, keep up the good work.

Tyler steps are looking Great!

Will they fold up against the door?

No I think I am going to store them under the flatbed. The design I am working on, doesn't have bolts attaching the stairs to the camper or truck. There will be 2 chains that will hang from the rub rail of my flatbed that go to the steps. I hope it works out, because I'll be flirting with the laws of physics.

Beautiful job

Tyler,

Looks like you cut off the front of the flat bed, (do you call that the headache bar)?

Did you have to strengthen the flat bed because of this?

I cut off the headache rack so the camper would slide forward and then I was able to access the flatbed stake pockets for my rear tire and storage rack. The headache rack was constructed out of 3x2 3/16 rectangular tubing and was extremely heavy. It was not a structural component for the flatbed. I am going to build a new headache rack that is slightly thinner and lighter. Headace racks are a must to protect the back window when throwing wood into your truck.

Overland Expo Pics!

We drove out to Flagstaff Friday in a horrible head wind. The EGTs on my truck held steady at 1050*-1200* the entire trip, which is extremely hot for my truck. The truck did great though and we really enjoyed the camper. We can not wait to have the interior completed.

Here are some pics

Here is an awesome hard sided pop up built by Chris of Backcountryfabrication.com. This rig was a beauty and has already proven itself with a trip to Alaska.
