Default Birth of My Kimberley Karavan

I sold my Kimberley Kamper and it's off to a good home and new adventures.

Now it's time to build it's replacement, a hard sided Kimberley Karavan.

The Kimberley Karavan X Series details can be seen here: Kimberley Karavan X Series

The build should be completed by the end of May and then it jumps on a ship and heads North. I expect to pick it up in July sometime. This will be the first one in the US. Before anyone asks, yes the import is fully legit with DOT approved VIN number and an authorized import agent.

Here's a list of the primary features:

    140W Solar Panels on roof
    210AH AGM Batteries
    Diesel Hot Water System
Grey Water tank (no trace) :-)

    Second Bedroom
    Magnetic Black Out Curtain Set
    Under bed Membrane Heater
    30 LED Exterior RV Magnetic
    Kargo Karrier (luggage rack)
Screen 22" LCD TV with Bracket
DVD CD Radio MP3 4 Speakers
    Shower Toilet Upgrade
    Diesel Ceramic inside Cook top
    Electronic Disc Brakes-UPGRADE

Here are some cell phone pics of the early build process.

This is going to be some serious fun.

Wow... Thoroughly envious. I can't wait to see this progress on here and see the finished pictures. Good luck with everything.

Thanks Don. I'll keep this thread updated as I get more updates on the build and my trip to the Long Beach port to pick it up.

    Congratulations, Brad,

You deserve a lot of kudos for making this happen. I love that trailer and gave thought to getting one, but didn't figure I could make it happen. I'm delighted to see this coming together. Add me to the "thoroughly envious" list.

Hope all goes well with the fetching.

Wow, what a great adventure. I might head all the way over in July and ride with it all the way back. Just to fend off any pirates and break it in properly.
