carb position on offy intake

Hey all,
I dont often get over here, but Ive got a 72 Scout with a factory 258. I am puting an offy duel plane intake on it. If I understand how it works the primarys on the 390 holley should face to the passanger side of the truck. Am I rite. I am just about done and need to make up cable linkage and want to make sure Im doin it rite.

That's the way I have seen them installed on a 258.

Yes, the primaries go toward pass side or valvecover on my 258 w/ Offy dual port and Holley 390.

My Offy came with a 90* tube for the throttle cable, it works fine, but did wear out the cable after a couple years of stop and go traffic, could have been to strong of a spring or the 4 speed, 2:73 and 31's..

I used a Mallory Unilite distibutor on my 258, it worked great...

Thanx guys, Just what I need to know. And Im useing a chevy hei dizzy out of a 250 inline six. I put it in the truck 5 years ago. Has to be the best single mod Ive done to the old girl.
