    Default Considering OziExplorer

I have used USAPhotomaps (free) and ExpertGPS and like their ability to download USGS topo maps from the Microsoft TerraServer (for free). I get the sense that OziExplorer should be able to do this, but I can not figure it out. Doing a search on the forum did not yeild an answer.

    Help!

    Thanks,
    David

I'm not aware of such an option in OziExplorer. Getting maps for Ozi is one of the hurdles that keep people from getting into it.

There are numerous places on the web where you can download maps for the USA for free. One list of some sites is here.

That's too bad - it seems to be a great program, but the ease of important maps into the others is awesome!

I just glanced at ExpertGPS website and it appears to have quite a lot of features. What prompted you to look at Ozi?

It's seems to be a nice feature, but really limted to US users. I'd think that most OziExplorer users are not US based and would not need that feature. Maybe that's the reason the program does not include it.

I looked at after reading some recomendations posted here. Not really sure if it has features that ExpertGPS does not. I know ExpertGPS can download maps as well as load maps like Ozi Explorer.

That could very well be the case
