Dear,

I have seen your website and forum and I find it very interesting.
Thank you for that!

You seem to be specialists, so I allow myself to ask you a question.
Are you aware of countries that do not allow trailers?

My plan is to drive around the world with my LandRover and adventure trailer/ caravan.
I heard that some countries will not allow me to enter...

Thank you for any kind of advice or links you could give me!

Best Regards

As far as I know, there is no legal issue with having a trailer. The only downside is that it gets a bit more expensive when it comes to shipping/parking/etc.

See Dan T. Cook's website, http://www.flyfishingtheglobe.net for information about his round-the-world fishing expedition. Dan drove a diesel Land Cruiser 70, pulling a CampaUSA trailer.

A caravan of Airstream trailers traveled 30,000 miles and visited 31 countries in 1962. The story is told in a book, "Thank You, Marco Polo."

One of clients towed a Horizon with a Troopy from the UK to Bejing, shipped it Cape Town and then towed it back to the UK. Not eaxactly around the world but a long distance and multiple countries nonetheless.

You get really socked on toll roads with a trailer. I've paid twice as much in the states with a trailer as just a 2 axle vehicle.

Once had a great deal on a hotel in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Had to give it up as there was no place to park a vehicle with a trailer.
