Nice job LX450.

You've hit all the points so far that make these Conqueror units really nice when you get done with them.

I'll be watching this thread for your updates.

One of these days I might get around to posting a build thread on my Conqueror as well. :ylsmoke:

Please post up any build involving the Conqueror Conquest / Compact .
I am changing mine around at the moment and am always looking for new / better idea's on how to improve the trailer .

Cheers Jim

Its about a 2.5 inch "lift" Shocks are plently long enough for that added lift. The original mounts were on the ubolt plates at the bottom of the axle. when I welded new mounts they are more towards the top so it cancels it out. so far she rides really smooth.

When you say ' about a 2.5" lift ' , do you mean that you added an extra 2.5" to the length of the spring hangers or just over-all with the taller tyres ?.
How did you go with the tent after that , was it stretched much ?.

Cheers

Thats a total of 2.5" lift with the new tires and suspention For those out there with a stock compact could you measure the hight of your trailer from the ground to the base of the tent? That way I can double check my measurments.

Another "weak" point on the Conqueror trailers seems to be the hitch mounting they use, I had been planning to upgrade to a multi axi hitch but with money in a crunch and having already had a pintle decided to just use a lunnett for the time being. This still allows me to upgrade the hitch as well as be able to remove it completly for light theft prevention. Heres the start, still need to trim the length and drill hitch pin hole.

Hitch is finished up. Almost done with the new quick release jack that will also be adjustable. The wirning is new and now has the 7pin charging from the truck as well as the electric brakes hooked up.

Hitch is all done as is the removeable jack setup. I also extended the wiring so there will be no issues with crazy turns. I can now completely remove the hitch and the jack from the trailer. When I get to camp I'll be able to attach the lunnet to the inside of the trailer frame and lock the jack in the original tow point so no one can steel it or the trailer.

I also replaced all the zippers on cover for the tent, I had one break (just the pull tab part) so I figured I would do something a littl more industrial and would also give me a better handle on them.

My trailer didnt come with the "grass cutter" and while I didnt really want one anyways I still had the mounts for one. I drilled one new hole an mounted my gerber parang. These things are extreamly useful and can hack through a 2x4 in 4-6 chops despite its light weight.

The company is called ceelite, there is a small converter box that the lights run off of bt they can be installed anywhere in the trailer the converter box runs off 12volt. They are nice and durable and almost completly flat.
