Nissan Patrol WVO conversion - renewable festival pics

On my 3rd tank of WVO after the conversion. Works great.

Went to a little eco festival that was promoting renewable resources. It was a little too 'hippyish' for my taste but fun nevertheless.

What surprised me was that we had the only WVO vehicle there. To me, having all these vehicles drive out in the middle of the bush to promote renewable resources by burning off a ton of fuel was a bit hypocritical. :Wow1::elkgrin:

Veg power !

There was a Delica in the group serving coffee. They were from Powell River but alas, no veggie conversion on their rig.

Main Stage area with some cool bicycle-powered juice.

Battery banks stored the harnessed energy from the sun via solar panels/wind props and the bicycle-powered generators.

Lots of LED lights all around the stage areas/forest that lit up at night giving a cool feel when walking about

Not much for workshops/promoting renewable resources but here was a little DIY setup

I like your hand-made signs (beside the spelling of Diesel ;) ). Are they all done with clay- and plant-based paint? :)

Good on you to promote alternative fuel. Running WVO is a great way to reduce the carbon footprint and a well proven system...

Thanks for getting the word out on WVO conversions. It takes folks like you to spread the word. Most folks in home grown Renewable Energy are tinkers and gearheads. Take my old Volvo mechanic, he made a nice wind turbine out of a hub and spindle from a 240DL.
As for the hippies they're as diverse as any group of people that you would like to stereotype. Some don't do anything but take up O2 and eat drugs, others are working for social justice, while some are growing their own food; making their own energy, art or practicing healthy lifestyles and some have been very successful entrepreneurs.
