Just for reference; I have the gas V10, stock rear axle, 4R100 tranny, NV271 t-case, and no adapter/box. I don't have any problems shifting in high or low gear range. Speeds read incorrectly in low gears of course, but engine speeds appear correct. Maybe things are handled differently with the gas vs diesel applications.

Have to look into that... Both of the vans I've done with this setup have been 7.3's. I've had several customers use it too.

Brettf all you need to do is hook up the 4wd wire in to the factory van wiring harness to the t-case switch then when you switch to 4low your speedo will work correctly. It is marked from the factory and located in the main harness under the hood over the steering column. All vans have it go figure?

Good to know! Thanks! I will take a look. Though I'm usually not concerned about speedo reading when in low range...

    Scoutkid, any updates?

But what does that do to your odo? I usually am not in low range very far at a time, but it would add up eventually...

The last week or two has been a whirlwind! I just got back from a work trip to New Orleans - I left on Sunday. Meanwhile I am working this Scout/Snowmobile trade and its been quite time consuming.

Once the Red Scout is out of the shop i should be back to bidness as usual. until then, I hope to post random pics of Vantom up in the mtns!

Sales Manager for an Engineered product. Basically I sell really cool, really expensive stuff!

Well the big trade is done. Today was hell on wheels, several trailer trips swapping out snow sleds for scouts. I will post more pics later but here is a few of the Scout heading out, and at his new home, and the sleds on their way out, and in their new home!

Seems like the sequel will be about a wicked trailer for hauling sleds and maybe some cool add- ons to compliment the van.
