Any experience with these? I know they are made in Kalispell, MT (used to live there). Looks to be decent quality.

I have the truck in the sig, short bed (6.5 foot). Load Range E tires. No problems? How much can I expect the weight/profile to effect economy?

S & S are good quality campers.

Check for any wood rot and/or water intrusion. Check everywhere, but pay special attention to the overhead window, the rear wings and where all 4 jacks attach. If there is not any rot then $850 is a good deal.

It will probably weigh 2250 lbs empty and 3000 lbs loaded and ready for camping. It was designed for a longbed truck and will put a lot of weight on your rear axle because of the shortbed. If you buy it take it to the truck scales and have your truck weighed. As long as your rear tires are rated for the weight you should be fine. You should expect to take a few mpg hit on the economy due to the weight and profile.

S&S are very good quality campers. Even if it's old, if it's in good shape and no leaks or rot, $850 is a very good deal. You could probably use it for several years and get most of that back when you sell.

Decided it was a bit long/heavy for me. I'm not in such a rush that I can't wait, just going to be more difficult to find a short model with a bathroom...
