No reason other than it looks way better than say a flat top. That and the challenge of getting it to look good. Plus this is a 1 off and i like to be different
The RTT will be supported by a small metal brace externally and a reinforcement plate internally. The other advantage to the curved top is a place to run wiring and plumbing that's up out of the way.I use conduit to run wires/plumbing.

    Update.
Trimmed and sanded front hatch turned out fine.

Started kitchen layout after trimming opening for doors.
Built main counter ,laminated, trimmed and temp installed so i can measure for everything else.

On another note, I have had some interest in my area for pull out kitchen boxes for military and other styles of trailers. In both kit form and assembled.
I know shipping out of the states to Canada is a pain but it seems that it is easier to ship state side from here. That and do you think there would be a market for these in the states.? If i am breaking a rule posting this i apologize. and this could be deleted.

    Thanks

    Looking good.

I have been thinking about a pull-out kitchen. Where are you putting the fridge/cooler?

The cooler/fridge will be in the back of the jeep the one disadvantage to wanting lighter trailer i guess .. in hindsight i could fit it in the storage area.

    Shorter wiring run

I was pondering something like this guy http://www.madventurecamping.com/html/features.html. Given your current layout, it looks like that arrangement would give you too high of a counter height. Great space underneath your pull-out for storing long stuff.

Yes the counter height as it sits now with 33" tires on the frame will be around 32" off the ground. My wife is not very tall and anything higher will be a disadvantage to her half the reason for building this platform is to encourage her to come Wheeling more she dislikes sleeping on the ground and not having creature comforts.
There will be 2 pullout drawers below counter as well as 3 above. as well as a counter extension going to the left for barbaque/workspace.I have about 24" of depth in that area so lots of storage space. longer items such as poles etc. will store ahead of the kitchen area cross wise in 4" tubes above where water tank will sit.

Nice trailer setup with that mad adventure.

    Thanks for the compliments Guys

not much to report today as i am still waiting for them to fix my water tank. 3 weeks to go for my RTT.

    Cheers
