So, yeah, the bum that started the thread and asked for pics has yet to post one....

But here is basically what my truck and cap look like (only my truck and cap is black and usually dirty, thus no good show off pics)

Overall I like having a cap the design of this cap, but I keep finding that it would be a lot more convenient if the windows were more like windoors and I still want a roof rack.

So the other day, I am cruising around on Craigslist and I find this little beauty. Price is good, has the side doors and roof rack, but no windows.

I could live without the side windows the but back window is a must have. Any thoughts or ideas on how to add one and keep it budget friendly? I am thinking windows from an rv/trailer/conversion van or buying a sheet of lexan or plexiglass and cutting it down. I don't have any useful info on the cap like the brand or if it's steel or fiberglass. I am just brain storming and was curious if anyone else had tackled something like this.

    Thoughts, comments, questions?

Snugtop makes a higher than cab height cap. I have one on my '04 Tundra. The cap is made in Long Beach CA, USA and I had trouble with it leaking. I wouldn't buy another Snugtop. I had to send it back to the factory for repair. I got all the bells and whistles and love the pop open side windows too. The handles can be used as tie down points for putting something up on top.

I also have a Snugtop on my 02 Tacoma also. At first my plan was to take it off as I had never had a camper on any previous trucks but it has grown on me and I now plan on building a sleeping platform in it and lots of other things aswell. I'm not sure what model it is since it came with the truck when i bought it. Next truck I have I will deffinatly be getting another topper and will spend the extra buck on windoors and racks on top.
