Default Using a compass: Books, Videos, Classes?

Using a compass to its fullest extent has become increasing appealing to me. I have done quite a bit of research and video watching, but I figured I'd through it out the group to see what others would recommend in the form of Books, Videos, and Classes.

Here are a couple of sites I found informative.

The best book I have seen is the Military manual "Map Reading and Land Navigation (FM 21-26)". You can get this manual free from here.

I will give that one a read. I also found Be an Expert with Map and Copmass that I was able download. It is dated but has a lot of info.

I bought a book called Outdoor Navigation with GPS by Stephen Hinch, which I thought was really good. Although the title implies that it's dedicated solely to navigating with an electronic GPS device, it has a many pages dedicated to 1) general navigation principles, and 2) how to apply these principles to navigating with a compass. Of course the majority of the book is dedicated to GPS, but there's plenty of information on map-and-compass navigation. It's available for less than $12 on Amazon (link)

This new publication is well worth reading, especially when considering whom some of the reviewers are, and their high opinion of it.
