    Default Captains 1994 Hilux

Bought my first car for about a year ago. Started out as a LN110 mk3 x-cab with 2L (2.4D) 4x4.
Its primary a HiLux (Toyota Pickup), but sold as a Volkswagen Taro.

My plans have all the time been
    - 38x15,5x15 wheels from Arctic Trucks
    - 1KZ-T 3.0TD L4 diesel with intercooler
    - 6-8" wide fender flares from Iceland
    - ARB Air-Lockers front and rear
    - Stiff axel swap
    - 4x NBB Alpha 225 HID Pencil Beam with 75w
    and some more.

By this past year I have done the engine swap, repainted the car in matte white, changed the seats into ergonomic Recaro, lifted the car on 2,5" Old Man Emu and some smaller things like retrofitted a steeringwheel, cup holder, mirror w/map lights, ThermoWipers and some back seats.
    Pics will be uploaded asap

Sounds like a sweet build! I'll subscribe to this one
97 FZJ80, most fun vehicle I have ever owned.

How to build an 80 on a budget!

    It all begun like this

The first thing I did was a massive interior clean. It had been droven on dusty roads and in dirty woods as a car for hunting.

No rust in the cabin - i thought... Both channels well eaten from the inside.

Tried to make the comfort a bit better by isolating the cabin.

I'm going to do this again later on with some better materials, and the whole cabin, not just around the back seats.

Bought a set of 33" BFG MT KM1, but didnt have any rims to put them on. Ended up selling them to a friend.

It went some weeks and I bought some rims, but hadn't any tyres. How ironic...

Mud flaps from the local truck garage for the future tyres and archers. (+ the tyre(s) as i selt the friend of my on the bed)

Pics from the easter of 2011

The local police didn't like my tinted front windows so i had to take them off. Only tinted 80% (20% light passing the tinting)

Very cool! I have never seen a Toyota badged as a Volkswagen before!
On a side note, I have a "brother" that lives in Hamar!

1978 Toyota Chinook. 20R, 4spd. Built to not go anywhere fast, and to have fun when I get there.

Got a pair of Recaro seats for 1/20 of the new price, so thought it was a great bargain.

    The weld is not finish

Got some Hella switches for my lamps and so on. Have to put in the remaining 14(!) - but later.

Did the painting over a weekend. Rolled arcanol over the body and frame. It's just temporarily until I have my plans ready.
