Is anyone from here attending the BB4WA's 25th Birthday Bash at ARB in Renton this coming Saturday?
http://www.facebook.com/#!/4WheelingAmerica

11-2 p.m. Food, Giveaways and
the Usual Bill Burke Fun Stuff!

If you plan on attending, you should email Rachel
bb4wa@bb4wa.com
so they can gauge how much food to provide.

I will be there, and if any hams are there, feel free to check out my 857D, maybe I can learn a few things from you on it.

Would like to go, but it is too far away for me. If he did it nearer his home base in Fruita CO I would probably try to make it. Have fun Corey and take some photos please.

Will take plenty of photos if they allow it.
Hope to have fun there.
There are quite a few around this area, hope to see some there.

Maybe I will see you there.
Weather is iffy, but the rain may hold off until Saturday near dinner time.

I am curious how the parking will be there.
Maybe I will call them today to find out.

Should be plenty of spots, their shop is just North of Ikea in the industrial park. I've got other obligations, so have fun and take a pic or two to share!
I talked to Jim Jackson yesterday, and we can park by other businesses too if needed since they are closed during weekends.
Yes, I have been there plenty of times, but not many parking stalls there in front of their place.
Would to be their Cory but I need to intsall my clutch Saturday!
Bummer man, would like to see how your rig looks now with the new addition on it.

Here are the pictures

All the pictures and the one video I shot are from my new Motorola Droid Bionic.
The pictures have not been run through enhancement software, they are as they came from the camera, only downsized from 3264x1840 (8 megapixel) to 1200x676.

Bill Burke's 4-Wheeling America's 25th birthday event was held at ARB Headquarters in Renton, WA. October the 1st 2011.

Bill had his Land Rover Defender there along with the hauler for it, and his motorhome.
Very nice setup!

Many members from various forums showed up for the event from:
www.yotatech.com
www.ih8mud.com
www.fjcruiserforums.com
www.expeditionportal.com
www.northwestoverlandsociety.org

Got to put some faces with the names and posts I see on the above forums that I surf on a regular basis.

The event was like a rolling overlanding/expedition rig show too with many FJ Cruisers, Tacomas, a diesel right hand drive BJ74 Landcruiser, along with ARB's 5th gen 4Runner that they had recently built up for Expo's event held a short time back over in Eastern WA, and also a Jeep Unlimited that they are working on that will hit the SEMA show in November of this year.

The BJ74 belongs to BJ74guy that is on a few of the forums that I am on.
He and his wife came down from Canada to pick up a new ARB fridge/freezer for a trip they were leaving on today.
Perfect timing to make it to the event today too.

The black Defender was in very pristine shape, I am sure I was drooling when gawking at it.

I was surprised at how many FJ Cruisers were there, pretty cool.
There was a total of three Defenders there with the black one, greenish/gray one, and of course Bill Burke's Defender.
There were also a few 4Runners there besides ARB's black one.

Glad I went, it was great seeing everyone and checking out the rigs, and meeting Bill Burke and ARB's president Jim Jackson.

Here is a video of Bill Burke cutting the cake.

The video will not play full screen here when embedded, so you can click the URL above to see it full screen.
Admin here can change the video settings for that in in the VB admin control panel so it will play full screen when it is embedded.

Thanks for sharing Corey... however im confused.. didn't Sierra Expeditions already do the 25th Birthday bash at their place? ... So he's traveling around cutting cakes?

And is Bill missing his lid to his fridge or is my eyes playing tricks on me?

Not sure if Sierra did one for Bill Burke or not.
If so, nothing wrong with another party :sombrero:

Yes, since Bill's Defender was out front, a few of us where checking out the lidless fridge.
Looked like it was being used for storage.

Bill is up in this area too, as he is meeting up with Tim Lund and David Zartman tomorrow.
Then he has a Tillamook class planned this coming weekend.
