Awesome work GR. Those laser cut handle cut outs make my grinder cuts look like a 3rd grader did it.

How do you plan to do the main box? Frame and skin? Bend a single sheet of steel?

I'm doing the main tubs with an external frame and lining it with 16 ga. The reason I'm doing this is because I want to be able to remove the lid and drop the tail gate if I need to use the trailer for something else. I don't own a truck.

Well I took the last two day off to get the main tub frames welded up. I also got the cross members for the floor of the tub welded in and the front fender frames welded on.

I took one for a little test drive to see how it pulled. I even hit the highway to see how it pulled at high speed. I got it up to 65 and it pulled awesome. Nice to know that I haven't screwed anything up too bad yet .

Alexoffroad- In a perfect world I would love to be taking orders, but in this world I an just one guy out of my garage. It has taken me almost 10 months to get done what I have. But thanks for asking, that means alot.

Just a few progress pics from Saturday morning. I welded up two of the side lockers and cleaned them up also.

I also bent up a mockup fender out of 16gag. black. It still needs to be trimmed to fit correctly but it gives me an idea of how it will look. I think I'm going to make them out of 1/8 aluminum, then give them a brushed look, then a clear powder coat. I want to use the fender to help support the middle part of the side locker. Just for a little added security.
