    Question A weird "electric" motor noise from High to Low range????

    I have a 99 100 series and noticed that when I switched from High range to Low range; there was what I am calling a small "electric" sounding motor going on and then off...It appeared to be coming from the left hand side of the driver's seat. Not sure about that though...The LC ran fine both in high and low ranges. The diff lock worked too...I was thinking that my mirror switch was going bad. But, all seemed fine...

    Just a weird sound...Any thoughts?

    Could it be a stepper motor for switching to low range?
