Very, very nice!!!! I really like the idea to keep your tailgate on and UP!!!! Then makes a nice porch. The rear bumper is another great feature. Too bad they don't build one for Fords!!!

Terrific job. Like it a lot. Anything special you'd do differently given the chance?

Tell us more about the genny and compartment...you have a portable that you can safely run inside the compartment?

    Hi Bill
It was built to house a Hyundai 2000si inverter/generator: http://www.hyundaipower.ca/hy2000.php walmart price and Hyundai reliability makes it appealing. Its a sealed compartment but not sure if I could run it inside. The door is vented more for the gas fumes.

How does the canvas handle the cold? I would have thought the pop up room would have leaked all the hot air.
The camper absorbs alot of heat at first but after that the furnace only kicked on once or twice per hour and kept the camper 21 degres Celsius in -10 degree Celsius weather. I was very impressed. Rob uses three layers of fabric with three layers of insulation if I remember correctly.

Thanks for the write up. Good to read about the lift with canoe; I'm interested in that.

Just a thought (you prob already know) - the Portta potti compartment access might be easier with a door to the aisle; if you can brace the table support.

    Looking forward to more.

    Stay warm,
    Hey Hey Klahanie
I sure hope I do stay warm ....but not likely.....spend to much time on snowshoes and its impossible not take a few face plants in misery slippers. Ya the access door could have been done a few ways and believe me Coyote RV had lots of ideas but I wanted to Keep It Stupid Simple. Your way would have been easy as well and I might change it in but could not decide when construction was under way and thought I could always add a door that swung open to the aisle eventually with the way its built.

Yes it has Fabtec leafs and they work well with the camper and the 25 lbs of air makes them siet perfectly level. With out the air bags inflated I have about a inch of sag compared to how they sit with out the camper. Unloaded I found the Fabtech leafs quite stiff.

I'm sorry Overland Hadley but I totally overlooked taking the time to run across the scales with out the camper, then weight the truck with the camper. I do not plan on taking it off the truck. I might just have to though if it is a deciding factor for some one to make a decision on if they want a camper like this one. Just because I would hope some one would do the same for me.

I like it!! I like the swing out bumper design, looks beefy.
