Bear Creek and Deep Creek are part of the Heritage and Wild Trout Program

I have no info about fishing in Holcomb Creek.
The Santa Ana River gets stocked every other week with rainbow trout. Wild Brown trout are also caught.

I fished all 3 of those creeks years ago and was pleased to catch beautiful native rainbow and brown trout. I have always been a strict catch and release fly fisher, but from what I have seen and been told, many others have taken advantage of the scarcity of DFG personnel and they have put a great deal of pressure on the fishery by catching fish with all manner of gear and killing them. I too would be interested to hear if anybody knows the current status of the fishing there. There were also some fires a few years back that affected the area. I hope there are still fish!
Cheers,
Greg
