Thanks. Yeah the colorados seam to get overlooked by everyone even chevy they were stupid not to advertise that they put a v8 in it every one that asks me about it first question is how hard was it to get the v8 in there and then they are shocked when I tell them it's came with it

Thanks . I would not mind finding a stock iron front diff with locker out of a alpha but at the cost I have been seeing I'll just wait a year or two and just sas it

The headers were just released about a month ago by Doug thorley they are tri-y headers

I just got rid of my iron diff. I did a solid axle conversion. Shame we hadn't crossed paths before. Doug Thorley makes amazing headers!!! Thanks for the info.

I think the colorado is one of the cleanest looking pickups out there...not sure of interior quality but IMO the front end is stylish and means business...wish the manual tranny was an option for the V8

Just found out from a GM employee of the Hummer 4x4 Offroad forum that the Colorado and H3 have the same part number for the headers.

That's cool but just a heads up the doug's were made for a 2wd Colorado so for the to clear the T-bar on a 4wd Colorado you have to cut 1" off the right side header so the second pipe can slide on past the t-bar but if your went sfa you should not have that problem

It would have been cool to get the iron diff but I don't think I'll find one cheep enough for me to justfi buying so most likely when I blow the stock front I'll just go sfa and call it good

You got a link to your build ?

Here's the most complete write up I have of my build. It's a long read because the build took more than two years to do. Even then it's still far from finished. My problem is that I'm overseas a lot so I don't get to work on it much. It's slowly getting there.
