I have the SAME thing. Perfect winch, bad motor. 4WP qouted me $305 for a replacment motor. I would greatly appreciate a link to a $70 dollar replacement. I dont think it exists, but I hope Im wrong.

EDIT: Did your magnets come loose too?

My magnets cames loose. I bought my xrc8 new in August 09 and probably used it 10 times on my car trailer. Not sure what I'm going to do with it now.....probably cut my losses and by a Warn or Ramsey. I've had good luck with both of those.

You can buy a motor on ebay for $70. Just fix it.
