Didn't take anymore pictures today, real cold out 15F and Football on TV.
The square aluminum tubing and nylon fittings on the outside border of the Starboard sheets are Quick Frame components from 80/20 Inc.
    .
Large piece of starboard that opens:
Each nylon fittings that is jammed into the aluminum square tubing, has a self tapping screw through it. The same self tapping screw also screws into the Starboard sheet and holds the the square tubing border assemble to the Starboard.
    .
Small piece of starboard that is attached to trailer's bed-rails:
Same as above except conduit pipe hangers clamp the starboard and aluminum tubing/nylon fittings assemble to the bed-rails.
    .

The two pieces are hinged together so the large piece opens. The flip top will also have lift struts that don't attach to the trailer tub nor screw 'through' the top of the starboard.

Starboard lid is finally finished. Hope to get it painted within the next few weeks and then final assembly.

Very nice, I like the color match and wheels.
Good choice on tail lights, big and bright!

    Great build!

I'm starting to fix some rust on a Bantam I just bought and am thinking about replacing both front tongue frame bars completely with 2x3" box steel as the 1.75x3" C-Channels are rotted the last 18".

Did you find 1.75x3" box steel somewhere, or is that 2x3"? I assume 2x3" but it looks like the bolt-on brackets at the front frame are the same type as mine and wondering how they fit over the larger tube.

    Thanks for posting the build!

Did you post any pictures of your Trailer?
    .

    It's all about the Details!...
Yes those are the original bolt-on brackets and I too couldn't find any 1.75x3" box
    .
In order to use the original front and rear brackets and mounting holes, I used 1.50x3" box steel and stitch welded 1/4" wide plate to the inside of box to make it 1.75" wide.
The 1/4" plate runs from the rear of the A-frame bars under the trailer to just past the front bolt-on brackets.
    .

    .
Details... details... Hey I still need to paint that red primer'd nut black.
    .
FWIW... At the very top of the picture below, next to trailer are the 'new' A-frame C channel bars, that I didn't use.

Nice! You found the thread for mine -- great information about the frame source, thanks again. I'll get in touch with them Monday and find out if they'll sell me just the A-frame bars. If not, your plan would work fine too.

Not to hijack...but I have original bantam "A frame "A-frame bars &the the brackets to hold them to the frame that I no longer need. PM me for details.
