So I'm trying to come up with an ideas on a material to build a low profile bed cap.
I really only want it to be 8" or 10" above the bed rails... shell is too high & a tonneau too low.
I'd like it to as water & dust proof as possible... lite... possibly liftable from one end at a time... (secure then move to the other end).
I was thinking about a minimal wood frame then cover it in Gator Board and fiberglass over that... I know the foam in the Gator Board wouldn't like the resin, but maybe some masking tape to isolate the resin from the foam... then glass both sides.
Or maybe a budget verneer skin then glass it ??
Any thoughts would be appreciated...
Thanks...
Curt
