    Default Tough Terrain Trailers

Anybody have experience with these trailers? I found one for a pretty good deal used, but wanted to see if anybody had eperience with them?

Not sure I like how the lid opens, need it to work with a RTT at some point.

    Feedback appreciated.

Try to get some pictures of the frame. It appears they are using the angled tube to support the tongue and have attached the triangles to the front tube. I am not much into that design. Needs to be triangulization into the main box of the frame.

It also depends on how much you are going to carry, or how much it is capable of carrying. I can not see any reason for a 3500 to 5000 pound axle on a 8 foot trailer.

Other than that it it looks pretty good. And it may have a strong well designed frame, just cannot tell from their web site.

Their trailers look good to me. I'm I reading right...the "body" is made of a composite material? As far a the structural integrity, it appears that the company also specializes in building off road buggies to SCORE spec's and such, therefore I would assume they know a thing or two when it comes to sound chassis building. Just my two cents...good luck!

    Default Bought it!

yeah, website was all over the place...

Locked the trailer in, now I just need to setup the pickup details.

I'm hoping to build a rack for a RTT. Main difficulty will be that the doors open idenpendently, so the rack will need to either be tall enough for the doors to clear or maybe on adjustable arms with locking pins.

Back door flips out for use as a table/cooking area.

    IT'S ON NOW!

    Default RTT Option

Any suggestions on how to add a RTT and still open these lids? Anybody done this yet? I like that the back lid flips down as a table, however any kind of rack is going to have to clear that back lid....

Maybe a rack that can be lifted up and locked in place once we stop, keeping the overall height of the trailer down?

Side hinged base for the RTT so you tilt it up, flip the lids over and tilt the RTT back down. Or modify the lids so Instead of being hinged they are on slides, then you just slide them out from under the RTT to act as tables etc
