tire slippage on the wheel

I don't think the Staun's are going to fix this issue. It might be a really good way to ruin a set when the tire spins and rips of the tube stem.

I would try sealant. It has worked wonders for me in the past.....and its cheap.

Did you ever get an accurate measurement of the bead diameter?

Okay, finally got to try the sealant- after sanding the bead yet again, and so far, so good...
Thanks for all the input, and if this does not do the trick, I'll post up.

I guess nobody here is into drag racing? The old trick to prevent the wheel spinning inside the sticky slick tire is to use wheel screws. Basically screwing the tires to the wheels around the wheel edge/bead. Most folks use 32 screws on each wheel, 16 outside, and 16 inside, but that all depends on the application. It's recommended to drill the wheels with the tires dismounted, but lots of folks get away with doing it with the tires mounted. Jegs & Summit sell the kits pretty cheap...
