    Default LEDs

I have a FZJ80 and replaced all of the interior lighting with LEDs, which was great for camping so I wouldn't wear down the battery. Has anyone done this? Are there are kits with the right bulbs?

I did that on my D1. No kits I'm aware of. I got mine from Superbrightleds.com They're just your standard interior bulbs, nothing LR specific.

Did you like them? In my last car I replaced the gauge cluster lights, but the best ones were the map and dome lights as well as the door lights too. Really upgraded the lighting and they were just generic too so nothing specific to my LC.

You might want to ask this question in the Land Cruiser forum vice Land Rover forum. I bet you'll get more replies that can answer your question.

I just reread my post, I meant to say I had a Land Cruiser and now have a 95 RRC LWB. So hence the reason I posted this in the range rover section.

Aww... makes sense now. I failed to read your mind... we both stand corrected!

There are lots of LED solutions posted for the FZJ80 and they are an awesome improvement. I have no knowledge about the Land Rover crowd but I bet they'll start chiming in soon...

Thanks. I was just curious, but I am super excited to start my new journey with rover. I will post some pics once I get it.

There is a UK company called Bolt On Bits who seem to specialise in lighting accessories and LEDs. Slightly worryingly, their website seems to have closed and they are now only traceable on eBay. I don't know what this says about their business stability and the security of any purchase you make from them. What I can tell you is that having seen their plastic accessories at the big UK shows, I wouldn't buy them. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Bolt-On-Bits-01274-688-388 Not all LED bubls are equal. I bought a pair of tail-light/brake light LED bulbs from Halfords (the UK's leading motor accessories and servicing chain) and they were dimmer than the standard bulbs they were to replace. they went straight in the bin. UltraLEDs is a company with a seemingly good reputation, though I have not yet used them myself.
