Really? My parents 93 came with the same exact rims, or at least its doppelganger.

Edit: Are these not the same rims, because this the type our pathfinder had. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:93...02-26-2010.jpg

    Default Update

Its been about one month of travel, three months play, two months work and close to 10,0000 miles since shipping it to Kauai, Hawaii. I have had no issues with my truck or with any of my equipment from ARB and Tupui Tents. Its hard to believe only one blown tire and no mechanical issues in six months of touring Colorado to Hawaii. I have never owned a Nissan, but I am stoked that I do. The front suspension is a little weak but over all has preformed well on and off road. I have been getting 15-16mpg full loaded for touring and 20-21mpg no gear on highway (given our fastest speed limit is 50mph), running 35psi, minus for off road and sand . No recent modifications, over all the truck has a 1.5in lift, but am considering a 2inch body lift to run a little bigger tire with out losing ride quality.pictures 035.jpgpictures 031.jpgpictures 025.jpg046.jpg065.jpg

And about the rims yes they are from a 95 Toyota 4runner, 15x7 with 3.75 backspacing, my Nissan had the rims you are talking about those are 15x7 with almost 5 inches of backspacing.

What motor and trans combo do you have? I am looking at a 93 pathfinder today. Anyone have advice on problem areas?

the biggest problem is frame rust/rot above and behind the rear wheels. They came with a 3.0L engine which although a bit slow, is bullet-proof if maintained well and economical, especially if paired with manual tranny. Rust is the biggest enemy of these trucks.

Wow, what a nice truck and tastefully done mods! Personally I wouldn't do the body lift unless I had a good reason for it. Higher center of gravity is never a good thing even when off-roading. The only time I'd do it is when regularly traversing places that require the additional ground clearance which is usually not the case for most expedition type travels.

Do keep us posted on the travels and progress

Well said nasko, and also if you do get an automatic transmission be sure to add an aftermarket trans-cooler the factory one tends to clog and ruin the transmission, and the steering is an issue but only if you do some serious off road rock climbing. but otherr than that i really like my 1990 pathfinder
