    Default 1971 Chevy Suburban 4x4

1971 Chevy Suburban 4x4 with 350V8, 50k on crate motor, new shocks, tires, exhaust, edelbrock intake, quadrajet 4barrel carb just rebuilt, new hoses, fuel filter and tune up. The truck as Dana 44 front and 12bolt rear end with NP205 transfer case. 4x4 works great and I would drive it anywhere. This truck was supposed to be my project for the winter and spring but I don't have a garage anymore to do the bodywork and can't finish it. I have receipts for all the work mentioned and tons of extra parts that go with it. There are a few things mechanically I would still do but overall it's a runner. There are issues with rust but nothing that is serious or inconsistent with rust found on these vehicles. This will make someone a serious ride. Please respond to ad with phone number. Thanks for looking.

Here are the links to the thread. Hate to sell it but I lost my garage and I can't stand to see it sit and not have a chance to be restored.

Is there a price? Would you trust it enough to make it to the east coast?

These are great rigs as I just got a 1970 Burb...
whoever gets this needs to spend time on 67-72chevytrucks.com as that is THE resource for these rigs.

Looking forward to hearing the price so I can pass the word to folks who have drooled over mine.
Also any reason a person could not fly in, buy it and drive home?

My asking price is 3500 but throw me an offer and we can try to work something out. I would trust this baby anywhere. Everything that has been done to it is on the mechanical side. The largest trip I have done is towing vechicles from Anacortes, WA to Portland OR which is a roundtrip of 500+miles. It did that fine and averaged 10.5 miles per gallon towing 5500lb there and 8800 back. Plus the whole trip was up and down hills. It will make someone a good truck but I hate to see it not have to chance to get finished. I could drive it for years just like this but in the Northwest with all the rain it really needs the rust issues fixed while they are small and manageable. I just don't have the money to pay a shop to do the work. I also forgot to mention that it has a new water pump installed too. 360-707-8249 if your interested to talk with me. thanks for looking.

Sweet rig, I'm picturing a license plate that says "SCHLBUS" or "YELOBUS", or something to that effect.

Interesting back in on Sept. 5 you posted, "I know that I will never sell it." It is to bad that things have to change.

    Hey Nerd..
Wow for $3500 I am considering buying it myself...
But for the sake of my marriage I will say that you really need to join 67-72chevytrucks.com and post a for sale ad there as they would know that your price is great for the shape of the rig.
Good luck on the sale and I hope this one stays in the Expo family

thanks for the input. I'm really only trying to get what I have in it. I am a member of 67-72chevy trucks and will post it tonight there as well. I do have a few guys that want to see it locally too from my craigslist ad so I think it will go fast. It would definitely make the trip to Az if your interested. Just be prepared for the cost of gas or hauling it. 360-707-8249
