I have a CF-29 That i was told at purchas that had GPS in it. I have done everything that i was told to do to get it to work but cant seam to make it happen. so at this point i am thinking about getting a usb gps system and then some kind of gps software. any recomendations? I will be going down Baja next year and need to get software that would cover that area.

I run a CF 29 and use a Delorme PN20 tethered using USB and a BlueLogger using Bluetooth.
Most of the time I'm using the Bluetooth GPS while in the jeep.

I'd recommend getting a micro Bluetooth that would fit in the rear usb port with the hatch closed, mine is a targus brand. Then run a Bluetooth GPS just so there are fewer wires to deal with.

If you have not go over to http://forum.notebookreview.com/panasonic/ and search around for possible fixes and verification that there is a GPS unit in the toughbook.

Sorry I can not make any recommendations on what software to run south of the border.
