Been a while. Just about to roll 222,000 miles. The SR is pretty much my go-to vehicle for road trips and work related stuff. I upgraded the hella's up front from 5 to 7inch ones, other than that, just regular maintenance and driving it. Havent done the body lift yet, been kind of busy with my 4G63 turbo 73 mitsubishi wagon :)

Turbo 2.0 liter 4G63 from an early 90's Eclipse/Galant VR4/ EVO stock engine harness and ECU, all stock fuel and turbo parts. Likely 200hp to the rear wheels. It's only upgrades beyond stock specs are the intercooler, exhaust, some porting and cone filter. It's a really fun summer car. I bought it in california with the carb'd 2 liter 4G52 engine, drove it across the country with my girlfriend, then swapped the engine.

You know with the intercooler, exhaust, and port job you can get a custom tune and probably be near 260 or better at the RW. May need fuel upgrades, but if you go just right, you're talking even more hp. 300 isn't that far away. Those DSMs and the like can embarrass some very expensive sports cars. The length and RWD of that wagon coupled with some nitto DRs would make for some neck snapping hook ups too.

Food for thought. ;)

Wait, did you really just try to educate me on the 4G63 platform after seeing the work I did to fit one into a 70's RWD chassis??? The arrogance! :)

The car is equipped with an SAFC for monitoring and fine tuning, I've tuned and built a great many 4G63's over the years, all with 'custom tunes' that I've done myself. The vehicle currently can't put much more than 200hp through the original 70's transmission without fragmenting the thing into tiny pieces. Over the winter I intend to upgrade to a newer beefier trans, but even then I do not intend to push more than 250ish through the car. I'd like it to stay reliable and fun. I want to drive it back across the country in a couple of summers.

This car was not built to race, it was built to enjoy, people often get the two confused.

Here's a handful of other turbo 4G63 cars i've owned everything from daily drivers to 400hp summer cars;

I wont bore you with all the pictures, there's probably another 5 2G AWD dsm's and a ton of 1G AWD DSM's

I knew you were a builder. Encouragement is what I was attempting. Seriously, think about it..... That car. 400rwhp. Lots of pony owners will think something is wrong with their new rides. :). At the next light, tell them you think their is a strange noise coming out of their ride. They'll believe you because a station wagon just whomped em.

Then again, you may be past all of that and would rather not stoop to the level of my former self. Regardless, it would be entertaining to see the looks you get.

Believe me man, i find sleepers to be quite fun, but Ive come too close to losing my license and spent way too much money on lawyers. Going 400hp would require a much beefier trans and rear diff set up. Not wanting to spend the money.

But this car from a roll at 200hp puts a hurting on my gvr4, the wagon weighs nothing, of course that comes with no safety, it's a tin can.
