Review Of My New Kermit Chair
HI All,
Well, I received my new Kermit chair today. I've never seen one before. I bought strictly based upon the good words on this forum. I unpacked it not knowing what to expect. I also bought the black powder coated leg extensions and the cup holder.
One of things I was concerned about was the difficulty of assembly which some folks here had mentioned. Generally, I have little patience with things that are difficult to assemble when I'm camping. I found assembly to be a snap needing only a minor reference to the instructions. I don't understand the problem. It's very intuitive. Also, I was concerned about the appearance of the leg extensions when they were mounted. I don't find them to be objectionable at all and they seem to add a great deal of versatility. Again, I don't see the problem. The cup holder? I'm not so sure about it. My favored coffee cup does not fit so well due to its handle. But I think it will be OK.
The design is brilliant. Very clever. The rounded braces that double as a carry handle is neat. It seems sturdy, like it will last a lifetime. It certainly folds into a compact package which I was hoping for. Finally, it is pretty. I love the natural wood. The extensions could be better looking but I don't know of any alternatives to the materials they used. They seem very sturdy.
All in all, I'm very impressed. Is it worth the substantial price? Only time will tell. But, I am very optimistic. Tonight I will watch a movie sitting like a King in my new Kermit throne.
