    Lake Argyle
    about 70K east of Kununurra
55km long & 40Km wide holds enough water to fill Sydney Harbour 21 times
and after swimming found out at last estimate was home to over 35000 mature crocodiles

(lake argyle) lake views (1).jpg(lake argyle) lake views (2).jpg(lake argyle) pannikin bay sunset (4).jpg(lake argyle) pannikin bay sunset truck pan.jpg(lake argyle) pannikin bay truck lhs.jpg(lake argyle) sunset cruise (22).jpg(lake argyle) view over dam sunset pan.jpg(lake argyle) water tower lookout (1).jpg

SORRY ALAN - BTW hows the weather in Melbourne ???

    next stop the Northern Territory
only 800Km to go - should take about 3 weeks
    Cheers

Gday Stu. Great photos again. Lake Argyle is brilliant. We met some people while we were travelling and they took us out on a tinny on lake argyle. We headed off in the afternoon, went jumping off rocks, tried wakeboarding (not a good idea to start learning after a few beers), almost got lost cause there are no channel markers and hard to remember your way back in the dark. Nothing like seeing a croc or two in the water to get the heart and other valves pumping!

Do they still farm Barramundi there?

    Ben.

    Hi Stu,

Thanks again for making us all green with envy. Great photos once again and why restrict fund raising to just the liver?

    Regards,

    Anthony

    Stu,

Just wanted to say, those Argyle pics are some of the best shots I've seen on this forum........thanks for rubbing it in too.....for those of us bogged in our daily grind, seeing your pics is a real awakening.

Seriously...thank you for taking the time to post them.

    Thanks John
but unfortunatley soon it all comes to an end, once we hit Darwin its time to find a job and pay for the last 12 months
I will be taking my camera with me as we travel the territory and want to try and get into Ahnem land although dont fancy my chances
plus Ive seriously gotta do somthing about the suspension and wheels, so tell Mark to get his "mates rates" discount calculator out cause Ill be giving him a call soon, also have to find out if ATW have a darwin agent?
But in about 14 months, 2 wets and one dry season Ill be at it again - this time across the top and back to Qld
    Roll on 2014
    Cheers

Mate, Arhnem land is the place. Especially up on Coburg.....

Actually we've got 2 agents up there ....one's a Fuso dealer and the other an Isuzu dealer. Both are pretty good to deal with but call me when you're ready and I'll have a talk to Mark first.

Sounds like an Arnhem Land trip next dry then....but don't be so sure about the time frame....Darwin sucks you in. You hear that from a lot of folk. I dropped in once for 2 weeks max and it turned into 2 wets and a dry, so if you're opening with 2wets and a dry , it might blow out and they'll end up burying you up there....haha.

BTW We just built a nice little NPS bus for Gagadju Dreaming Resort out near Kakadu......plenty of sweet spots to take your truck in there too.

I remember the silver cobbler tasting ok with a big side of chips and sauce!

How's the truck traveling? I showed my wife the pics yesterday and she loves them too.
