No, this would be ghetto fab. I`m going to do this right. I already got an idea, let`s see if it works out...
You could cut the tire guides so they just come up to the wheel. I know that is a lot of work, but seems the simplest option... Kind of what was said by Chilli in non-tracked vehicle speak
You beat me to the post reply key... Why "ghetto fab" to make the tire guides the correct height?

Because the tire guides are the correct length. It`s the track assembly that`s wrong because it was designed for another track system. So i`m going to redo both track assemblies, just not yet, because i`m sure i`ll find something else to change later on and don`t want to build them three times...
Well Steinez, you certainly told me enough about `Flex´, so no problems there..... Just glad we can communicate. Remember, use your flex.
Started working on the track assemblies today. First i took the left one off:
I just lowered the wheels. Now the track assemblies aren`t level, but i don`t care for now:
Then i ran out of shielding gas and can`t get it refilled before monday. So i finished it off with my stick welder:
Then i looked for some work where i wouldn`t need the welder. So i started looking for the oil leak. I think it`s leaking between the block and the front cover plate where the oil pump is:
Doesn`t look better under the cover:
When i called it a day. I just couldn`t get that oil pump out and because of that i couldn`t remove the cover plate. Anyone has an idea how to get that oil pump out?
Sorry to hear about your oil pump problems Steinez! I wish I knew more about Subaru technologies, otherwise I would help.
You may have to remove the oil pan to get the pump out.
