As we are sure many of you have heard there is a new event coming to the East Coast this fall. Well, we are ready to put aside all speculations and bury the rumors with nothing but the cold hard truth. Everything you’ve heard is true.

Getting nothing but rave reviews, The Cove offers a wide variety of amenities that we found would be fitting for our first annual event. With plenty of room for camping, the Cove also has on-site Bathhouses with hot showers. They also offer electric sites for those who tow their own campsite behind them. If trailers or tents aren’t your style, then one of their cabins sounds like it would be a good fit you, but call well in advance as they are limited.

With miles of charted trails, the Cove offers a variety of options ranging from greenlaning your stock truck to the most difficult of terrain meant for the experienced driver with an equally capable truck.

    Location:

    980 Cove Rd
    Gore, VA 22637

    From Washington DC: 1hr 20min
    From NYC: 5hr 14min
    From Boston: 9hr 14min
    From Chicago: 10hr 37min
    From Los Angeles: 39hr 11min
    From Fairbanks, Alaska: 72hr 1min
From Solihull, West Midlands, UK: 88hr 29min

    Dates:
    September 20 – 23 2012

We know you have many questions about the Conclave and today you will finally get those answers.

First it is time to let the pontifical smoke clear, remove the cloak of secrecy and reveal the people that have been working hard to make the Conclave one of the best Land Rover only events in America.

    In alphabetical order

    Dan Chapman Conclave

    Mark Garrenton ROAV

    Rick Newman ROAV

    Justin Monnin Conclave

    Gustavo Pagni Conclave

    Dan Rao ROAV

    Ben Saunders ROAV

    David Short ROAV

    Ed Tatton NELRC

    Erik Torno Conclave

    Mike VanCuren ROAV

Now to answer the next question on everybody's mind

    Price

The 4-day event will be $170

    Breakdown

    Event Registration $80.00

The Cove Campground will collect a $45.00 flat fee for each trail vehicle plus $15.00 per night for camping per person.

    An example of total cost.

A single person arriving on Thursday and departing on Sunday will pay a total of $80.00 + $45.00 + ($15x3) which totals $170.00.

You will only be charged the camping fee for the nights you stay so those arriving later will pay less for camping. This will be a 4-day, 3 night event, starting on Thursday September 20th

    Children under 2 are free.

    Kid’s 2-11 $7

With ROAV combining the Mid Atlantic Rover Rally “MAR” to the Conclave and NELRC Convoy for heroes finishing at the Cove this will surely be the do not miss event of the year.

    UPDATE:
As mentioned, the Conclave team has been working hard to get the best value for attendees of this event. As a result, we've trimmed the fat while still keeping our original objective in mind - hosting a great event at a facility with an amazing trail system for all experience levels. We're now set to move forward with pre-registration and offer an early-bird special.

Here is what you can expect.

Conclave will cost $125 for the truck and driver for those who wish to register by Saturday, August 25, 2012. Late registrations are charged an additional $20.00 simply because we will incur additional costs with last minute additions with the various vendors we're utilizing. This fee includes registration, camping and use of all facilities including trail use startingFriday, September 21, 2012. Please note the date change!

Passengers are not charged aregistration fee, however, the Cove charges $15 per person, per day. Discountsare available for children under the age of 11 and will be noted on our registration page. This fee will be charged regardless of your overnight accommodations whether it be off-site lodging or camping on-site at the Cove. This $15 fee includes camping, and use of all facilities including trail use.

A detailed schedule of events will be posted on our website to outline what your registration fee includes.

Conclave welcomes two supporting Land Rover Clubs to the event.

The Rover Owners Association of Virginia (ROAV) has offered their full support. ROAV will offer such activities as:

    -Beginner guided trail rides

    -Advanced guided trail rides

    -Pony Rides

    -Moon Bounce

    -Blindfolded obstacle course

The Northeast Land Rover Club (NELRC) has also offered theirfull support. NELRC will be winding down their Convoy for Hero’s charity driveat the Conclave and will be participating in activities such as:

    ‪Charitable 50/50

    ‪Charity Raffle
