Good job on the carrier. If you don't mind sharing - what was the cause of the fire? I don't want to make the same misstake.
I'm pretty sure I've seen you driving down highway 96. I almost bought that truck!
It was nice meeting you at GSMTR and getting to ride in the truck !! It sure is nice.

Thanks, was great meeting you guys too, love your 100 series!
So the trip out to GSMTR was a great success. The truck did great. I had to pull winch twice but that was more driver error than the trucks fault!
So many of you have requested a fuel economy check. Well I followed my buddy Joel out to GSMTR - he was in a 3B powered FJ45 and that truck could only manage 55-60 on the highway. So I filled up with diesel before I left and filled up again once we arrived .... 23.6mpg!!!!
I couldn't believe it. Almost 24mpg in that behemoth of a truck!
I never would have imagined that. So at that speed the truck was turning about 2200rpm, I'm now looking into either re-gearing the truck from its current 4.10's to some 3.73's through either sourcing some EU spec gears or through a rubber over drive.

Any updates? Still enjoying the diesel? I'm really curious how it does in the mountains compared to the 1FZ-FE? Just got back from Colorado and have to do a fair amount of 2nd gear at 4,000 RPMs, even with 4.88s.
Wow nice LC Dan! I am in a process of getting 1hd-ft right now. I read that EU 3.73 gears and H151 are make a good deference in MPG compare to AUTO and 4.11 gears. By the way if you still looking for 3.73 gears hit me up here or on mud. I have access to the brand new sets from toyota.
