aka rover
Adventurer
Well I wasen't going to do a build thread but since I have recieved so much help from several members I thought I would say thanks and post up some of the progress as I get the time.
The rover is a 1967 NADA 5 door wagen that lived a hard life as a plow rig, pretty much everything was shot on this thing including the the front frame horns being bent.
The bulkhead is solid as well as the frame minus the bent rails, which have been addressed a repair kit I made and assembled.
This build will not be a no expense spared build, this rig will be used and abused when done so the body and paint will not be perfect but the mechanics will be.
Everything on the truck will be and has been looked at and replaced as needed to make the truck dependable.
Motor OM617 turbo diesel
Tranny T-176
T-case Land Rover suffix B
axles Land Rover Series 24 spline rear series trek axles front will be 24 spline eventually
Brakes ROAM offroad Timm Cooper conversion
Steering P-38 Rangie box
The adapters i am using are from Advanced Adapters , Mathew Jackson is there Rover guy (Bluebomber) and helped me get the pieces all put togather. Im using their Tcase adapter as well as their bell housing clutch slave cylinder etc.
The motor plate and flywheel is a 4x4labs unit
Alaska Mike helped me out alot with many parts and pieces to get me going
Brian from Roam offroad has answered many questions as well as Timm Cooper, Timm helped me alot over the phone come to a point of which direction I would go with suspension and steering.
Mathew Jackson Bluebomber helped me with his knowledge on Rovers with T-case selection as well as how to seal it up so it wont leak? We will see.
The EXPO for being here for all of us to hang out.
Im sure I missed someone as I have spent countless hours ordering parts and asking questions about different things.
here is a few pics of the frame repairs and the fitting of the rear 88 springs out front for a better ride!
