Default London to Cape Town Rally!

Just came across this rally - London to Cape Town in 29 days.

This team is doing it in a 1923 Vauxhall OD

This is the first rally to stage a timed-drive with the clock ticking every day from Europe to Cape Town without recourse to airlifts or special shipping – the only boats involved are scheduled ferry-services, in a route that aims to keep the wheels turning all the way, clocking up results daily with the successful survivors going home with trophies at the end of a very special rally-adventure.

    Route here:

I'm sure it is very pricey. The organizers are the same ones who put on the Peking to Paris rallies a few years ago. I know a couple who took their 1929 Dodge on the Peking to Paris. 60K USD entry, plus shipping their car back and forth, plus miscellaneous costs, plus a full re-build to put the car right afterwards.

Lots of fun if you can afford it!
1960 Lotus Seven (every trip an adventure)
    2005 KTM 525 MXC
1996 Land Rover Discovery (Donated to charity in Mongolia)
    1986 4Runner
