Oh yes. He was a great guy to do business with. While I love Defenders (did a diesel swap and a Utah expedition in my dad's D90), I'm not sure whether his D110 or 40 series impressed me more.

Now that you told me you've serviced the vehicle, I'm tempted to PM you with a few questions...

Id be happy to tell you what I can. It spent most of the time he had in Colorado I think. One of his sons drove it.We did some maintenance when he first got it. Then didnt see it again until the conversion was done.

As it is my first post here wanna say Hi to everyone!

3. Bought it a couple months ago to make a road trip around Utah. It is my first TLC. The plan was to sell it after 5 weeks of vacation but... She will stay with us much longer. Current plan is to convert it to more reliable expedition toy.
4. 189k when purchased, around 198k right now.

6. Vacation car in Utah, maybe some overland trip in the future.

3. Just bought it a couple weeks ago. First Cruiser, second off road rig. I hope to outfit this one a little more for expedition.
4. 170k, 7k on the engine and transmission
5. So far, I haven't made any mods personally (except those needed to get it to pass VA state safety inspection), but my favorite is the 4bt diesel swap
6. Just a DD and a camping trip so far, but once I have it at 100% (I'd say it's at 90% right now), I'm taking it to Utah.

No build thread yet - I lucked out and found one with a lot of the work already done. I plan to add drawers, RTT and awning at minimum. Here are some pics I took during the pick-up.

Did you pick this up off of a guy in Colorado? I am stationed at the USAF Academy and there was a cadet there with a cummins swapped 80 series. LOVE that truck, but it always irk's me when the cadets rock nicer cars than most of the rest of the world

Just signed up to this site to get some ideas for my rig, so thought id post in here.

3. Not long enough My first cruiser, had a 3.0 turbo diesel Toyota surf, and a 6.5 turbo diesel Nissan Patrol before this.
4. About 190,000miles on the car, roughly 90,000 on the motor
5. Fav mods would probably be rebuilt 1hz motor with aftermarket turbo currently running 15psi
6. Its my daily driver/overlander/weekend warrior/all in one vehicle lol.

Actually I picked it up in Paducah, KY. I believe the guy I bought it from was building it up for his son, but his son decided he wasn't interested so he had decided to offload it.

Or, based on the work I've put into it so far, the diesel swap may have been rushed and the cadet you're referring to decided that it was too much work to get it up to snuff and maintain. Either way, I don't mind the work. I'd say it's about 90% there.
