Cheap trailer battery isolation.?

What are the pros and cons of using a automotive starter relay/solenoid for single trailer battery isolation.?

They aren't rated for continuous duty.

Better to use something rated for continuous duty:

Will it accept a continuously energized state as it would be necessary? They are designed for short, intermittent service.

Stinger/Pac audio make a 200amp one rated for what you want to do. I have installed them in a Nisan 350Z and an Escalade to connect dual batteries for Stereos. Knock off ones are available on Amazon
