    Default 86 Suburban, warwgn's build.

Hey, just found this site and thought I should post up what I got.

Bought this burb a couple years ago and have only drove it for a few months that whole time. I paod $1000 for it and drove it home and did a tune up and a few small mods. Then decided I wanted to put a big block in it so got a 454 and 4l80E out of a 92 burb and put that in. Blew the trans after about 100 miles and it sat for months before I decided to pull the TCI controler and stuff out and ditch it. The next step was rob the TH400 out of my 88 blazer and get the burb running.

Drove it and liled it until I pulled a 20' enclosed trailer. Well that 454 came out and built a 496 to take its place. Now I am in the process of nee gauges and the interior, did the lift already and tires. Just moved to MS so have not got to do much in a while. Will post up picss in a bit, my baby just woke up.

crazy story by pics....lots of work there and I love the engine in the back of the burb.

So how are you liking the setup right now?
    Any plans for the interior?

Well after swapping from a stock 454 to a modified 496 it has not run for crap yet. I need to rebuild and jet the carb idle circut to match the new cam and pistions. Just jave mot had time to do it and it also needs new drove shafts and brake lines. But put in 4low to load on the trailer and the brakess were squealing to hold it still. I think it is gonna pull the camper real good now.

The inside has lots of work to go, gonna put new seats out of late model truck with integrated seat belts fron and middle then new bench in the back to match. Got 3 kids so need the seating. Prolly a tv or two and a few inverters to run all the kids gadgets. Gonna be a long build.

Curious to what model/year seats you were thinking of running. Been thinking of swapping my 2nd row seats to captain chairs if I ever find a set that I think I'll like.

Was looking at 2000 - 2006, somewhere in there maybe newer as long as they are leather, power, and have integrated seat belts and arm rests. Gonna take some creative fab work for the middle row to mount up right, but will be like the new tahoes with a walk through to the rear seat instead of folding the seats down.
