If I recall, the normal idle speed for a 2005 + Nissan Frontier is 625-650 rpm, so yours looks to be within spec. Mine idles around the same RPM yours is showing. I thought it idled low after purchasing it used, but from my google-fu, it seems that it is the set range and perfectly normal.

That's a low idle for my taste as well. I have mine set at about 800 rpm and my friend did it with Uprev software and a laptop. If you don't have that option you can go to any Nissan dealership and have them bump the idle for you.

I can have a Nissan dealership increase my low RPM? That would be AWESOME! I've been struggling with reduced coolant flow due to the low RPM after installing a heat exchanger and auxiliary heater. If I could have the Nissan tech-boys increase it a bit, things would be a bit better. Otherwise, I've been thinking of incorporating a coolant pump of some sort ... but haven't got around to it. Thanks for the idea!

The main reason I thought it was running low was because it seems to idle a little rough. However, if I push the gas peddle to where the RPMs read 700-750 it smooths out considerably. Im thinking I may have Nissan bump my idle up a little. Thanks for the help guys! I think Im the only one of my friends that's OCD about their vehicle.
