Hey guys, great site and first post here! Been checking out the trailer section for a few months and liked the m100/ 416 builds I seen and decided to build one of my own.
I found a m100 a few miles away in January and picked it up. The previous owner did a spring over, started some body work and a couple other things. I got it home, started looking at it and decided to pull the tub. It was already missing the floor, front lower sides were rusted through and the back was chopped up from the addition of a tailgate. Felt a little guilty taking it off but whatcha gonna do. Good thing is that our shop has a nice brake and my boss gave me whatever sheet metal I wanted that was in the outside storage. Found a good sheet of 16ga and it was enough to do the the new tub. Also found enough 16ga to make some decent fenders. So, long story short... I made a couple trips to the steel supplier, cut n welded it all up, took it to my brothers for paint and here's what I have today. Still have a few things to finish up. Hoping to have it done this weekend so I can take it on our overnight SAR training in a week. I better get busy!
