1983 Suburban 2500 6.2 diesel/th400/4x4/camper special REDUCED/TRADE!!

Searched for awhile til I found this ole girl. Then plans changed and she's now excess. Will trade for a motorcycle, 4 wheeler, canoes, weapons, welders, tools, or?

1983 w/91 front end, barn doors, very little rust, runs and goes down the road very well.

Bad:
Paint
Some body work (drivers side rear 1/4 was dented and getting thin, has a couple of rust holes the size of a pencil)
There is some rust on the bottom of the barn doors but not through iirc, just scale.
Was a farm truck so lots of dents and "pushes". I fixed alot of them but didn't get to all of them.
Steering box leaks a little fluid and the 6.2 leaks a bit from a few places, so nothing under the truck will rust lol (doesn't LEAK, as in leave puddles. Maybe seap would be a better word)
A/C doesnt work
Solenoid on the starter needs to be replaced but will start, just sometimes won't hold the starter engaged long enough to fire.

Great tires/brakes/steering tight, etc
I taught my 16yr old son how to drive in it and he loves it.

If your looking for a big fancy sub for your wife to drive then keep looking. If your after a fairly clean old sub to mod and explore then this one is for you! Pulls down 18-20 mpg, fairly slowly. You will not win any drag races in the ole girl but she will run 70 all day long.

In the top right pic the red on the door is brown primer, the only rust is right behind the wheelwell in the same pic, it is currently covered with some bondo, just not sanded. The lower 1/4 on the pass side is sprayed with DIY bedliner, just never made it to the drivers side. The thumb button is missing out of the barn door but still opens with a screwdriver or similar.

I'm currently in korea but my wife can show the truck anytime. It is currently loaded with boxed tools in prep for our move and I wouldn't mind holding on to it until early June when I get home. Will hold until then with a deposit.

In the rear pic there is a piece of ally aitting on the rear seat and you can see the rear air units hoses still installed. I will try to get some under hood shots in the next few days.
